About Lida

Lida is a watercolour artist based in Melbourne, Australia.

Inspired by the natural beauty of plants and flowers, her paintings are ethereal and abstract, full of movement, with loose, layered brushstrokes balanced with areas of detail.

Interestingly influenced by deeply rooted Chinese aesthetic and 60s psychedelic pop music culture, Lida’s works are always a combination of well-controlled structure and a lot of abstract expressionism. Every piece is a unique outcome of imagination and interactions of what she feels in the moment and what music she listens to while painting.

Lida also runs a music project Her Shadow Crown as a singer-songwriter.
